GBC | WISP - 7th October 2020
Just four sleeps to go before Opening Day on Sunday. Here is a few key points to remember:
- Meeting at 11am
- If you have any old sailing clothing bring it down for a second hand clothing sale
- Bring cash for lunch - BBQ burgers and hot dogs
- Bring cash if you may be interested in buying second hand sailing clothing
We will be gathering in the RIB shed for some awards and a run through of the programme for the season. The plan then is to break up for lunch and the race fleets will get rigged up and ready for race briefing. We will also be getting our Learn to Sail and Upskiller groups together and if the weather is OK we can get anyone who is keen out in a RIB to watch the racing.
For the sailing clothing sale we just need to know how much you want to charge for each item. We will then label it and you can collect the cash and any unsold items at the end of the day. Please drop clothing into the galley when you arrive.
Last weekend was Mitchell Clark and Lachlan Marker were sailing in the Murrays bay Winter Stack regatta. With great sailing conditions Lachlan skippered his rs Fev to 4th and Michell came in 13th in the Starling fleet, nice work guys. Check out this photo of Lachlan getting pipped to the top mark by Team NZ - that is him!
We have a very high quality coaching line up for Tuesday training which starts next week. If you haven’t done so yet, please don`t forget to register for it before Friday.
See you on Sunday
