GBC | WISP - 9th September 2020
Last night the GBC Committee discussed at length options for Opening Day given the 2.5 restrictions we are currently in. Our limited rigging area is our key challenge and the decision reached is that we are postponing Opening Day for 1 week, it will now be held on Sunday 20th September.
We do however want to run some training for Open Starlings and Green / Open Opti fleets. There will be additional 2.5 level rules we need to follow and we need to know what sailors will be attending. Can you please register interest with this Sunday Starling sailing with Nick at Nick.Brewer@callaghaninnovation.govt.nz and Opti`s please email me at email@example.com no later than 6pm Thursday. No last minute rock ups please.
For our Upskillers and Learn to Sail fleets your first day sailing remains unchanged for the Sunday 11th October.
I`m very pleased to advise that registrations for the new season membership, boat lockers, training and racing are now open for the coming season on our new club administration system. Please click here to access. Well done to Elliott who has been working away to make this happen. Can I please encourage you to register early as this helps us get organised for the season ahead.
As part of the platform changes we also have an updated website. Many thanks to Pam for getting this set up in record speed.
We are also open for registrations for our Holiday Introduction to sail programme so again please spread the word on this.
So a bit of disruption, but nothing we are not all used to by now, and I hope your sailors are looking forward to a big season on the water.
